But are people physically going out to purchase music at stores these days? In 2011, 198 units were purchased offline. Here’s a US-based breakdown from Nielsen Soundscan for 2011 below.

Chain Retailers (Best Buy, etc.): 33%
Indie Record Stores: 12%
Non-Traditional Retail Stores: 2%
Venues: 1%
