The private funeral for the late, great songbird Whitney Houston will be held this Saturday at noon at the 1500-seat New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ; Whitney’s childhood church.
The funeral and burial will be for invited guests only. Pastor and gospel singer Marvin Winans has been chosen to give the eulogy. On Tuesday, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie told reporters that he will issue an executive order for flags at government buildings throughout Whitney’s home state to fly at half-staff all day Saturday.
