Big Annoucement over at Radio One DC-Urban AC/WMMJ
As RVP/GM-Chris Wegmann stated earlier today:
“It is with great excitement to inform you that Dionne has accepted the position of Program Director for Majic 102.3. She started with Kiss as a volunteer back in 1994 and has now achieved her goal becoming a PD at our flagship operation. Radio One purchased WKYS in 1995 and was fortunate that Dionne came along for the ride and what a ride it has been. She served in many capacities around the station including being the Promotions director from ’97 to 2003, left the company for a brief time and returned in 2006 as the APD for Kiss. In addition to those duties she has handled numerous programming assignments in our other markets most recently as interim PD for WJPR Power 107 in Detroit.
Dionne is a tireless worker who cares deeply for what she is doing striving always to be the best, her enthusiasm, drive and vast knowledge of the DC market makes her a perfect fit for the role. I know all of you will join me in congratulating Dionne.”
